Cheeseburger wrap

I was craving a cheeseburger but I didnt have any buns at home. I did have wraps though and I thought I might try tuning the cheeseburger I was craving into a cheeseburger wrap! 10/10 would make it again.

Remember to spray your saucepan generously so the burger or the wrap doesn't stick.

Prep time: 15 mins

Cooking time: 15 mins

Serves: 2

Ingredients

200g minced beef

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

3 gherkins, sliced

2 pieces of cheese singles OR 6 thinly sliced cheddar cheese

20g cheddar cheese, grated

1/8 brown onion, finely chopped

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp American mustard

2 wraps

Olive oil spray

Method

  1. Mix the beef mince, garlic powder, onion powder and salt together, then separate the mince into two separate balls.

  2. Prep the other ingredients, and mix the chopped onion, ketchup and mustard into a separate small bowl.

  3. Take the two wraps and take a knife, cutting a line from the center to the bottom of the wrap.

  4. Spray your frypan with olive oil then place the balls of meat on there, and press it down flat with a spatula.

  5. Once cooked on one side, flip over, lay the cheese slices on top, cover with a lid, then let cook for another minute before removing from the heat. Set aside.

  6. Place the burger with the melted cheese on the first quadrant, which will be the bottom right corner. Above that quadrant add a few slices of gherkins. On the top left quadrant add half the grated cheese, then in the bottom left corner add a teaspoon of the onion, ketchup and mustard mix.

  7. Starting from the first quadrant, fold up, covering the gherkin, then to the left, covering the cheese, then back to the bottom, covering the onions and sauce.

  8. Take the parcel and grill on either side on the hot fry pan and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure you put the grated cheese and the onion/ketchup/mustard mix on the last two quadrants so they melt and cook properly on the sauce pan.

  • Add in lettuce and tomato if you want more freshness, but keep in mind the lettuce will wilt on the saucepan with heat.
